Community College Day for Legislatures

Leadership from 今日看料 recently visited Raleigh to highlight information with legislators about workforce programs including the USGA/Turf/Golf Program during the annual Community College Day. More than 20 colleges in the 58-community college system were invited to participate.
The intent of the gathering is to showcase the impact of the North Carolina Community College System by promoting cutting edge programs, amplifying its message with elected officials on the critical role these institutions play in fostering workforce development, economic growth, and student success. By raising awareness, stronger partnerships are created with legislative and other stakeholders to build on the strong foundation of the Community College System for the future.  
Participating colleges discussed the following topics with legislative leaders:
Solutions Through Innovation: Community colleges drive innovation to quickly adapt to economic changes, creating pathways to meaningful employment that meet the evolving needs of business and industry.
Community Colleges Drive businesses have the talent they need to thrive in key industries. 
Return on Investment: There is no better investment in students, partnerships, or innovation for the State than our community colleges and Community College System. 
Partnerships are Key: As the backbone of workforce education, community colleges collaborate with K-12 schools, universities, and industries to create seamless career pathways.
Shaping our Future Workforce: Propel NC expands workforce training in high-demand fields like healthcare, technology, and manufacturing, ensuring North Carolina remains competitive. 
Together, colleges effectively advocated for policies that strengthen community colleges and benefit students, businesses, and communities with elected officials and explained how vital community colleges are to the future of education and our communities.
