Celebrate the timeless charm of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Based on Charles M. Schulz’s beloved PEANUTS comic strip, which first appeared in newspapers 75 years ago in 1950, this heartwarming musical brings to life the endearing world of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang. First premiering off-Broadway in 1967, the show has captivated audiences for decades with its whimsical humor, unforgettable songs, and relatable tales of childhood triumphs and challenges.

Marking 75 years of PEANUTS, 55 years of this iconic musical, and 35 years since տ Community College performed it on the Owens Auditorium Stage!

Directed by Bill Saunders, coordinator of the տ Department of Theatre, "You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown!" features the talents of տ Community College Students and regional actors, with Jordan Watson as Charlie Brown, Jillian Mann as Lucy, Trenton Coleman as Linus, Micaiah Williams as Schroeder, and Micalynn Clark as Patty, and featuring Vinny Dupree as Snoopy.

Director Saunders, who performed as Snoopy on Owens stage in the տ Community College Student production in 1990, is thrilled to be coming full circle with this production. “I’m so excited to bring this show back to Owen’s Auditorium.  I had such a wonderful experience performing the show under Bill Watson, the theatre instructor, when I was a student. It’s a joy to introduce these students to the show. The humor is clean, simple, and clever, making it accessible to all ages. The characters' philosophical musings about life, failure, and friendship are both funny and poignant," says Saunders.

Adding, “It's the perfect all-ages show for us as we continue to grow our theatre program, and it’s our first student musical since we opened the Associate of Fine Arts degree in Theatre. We have incredibly talented and enthusiastic students in our community, and we’re excited to share this show with Moore County.”

Join us for a joyful celebration of Schulz’s enduring legacy and the laughter, lessons, and love that continue to resonate across generations.
